BARBECUE , WORKING TESTS AND TRIATHLON
The Glebe field, Drumoak, Aberdeenshire.
Received today – 18/04/01 - letter confirming use of
the Glebe on 3rd June providing there
are no outbreaks of Foot & Mouth in the area.
Have also got judges for both Working test - June McKinnon & Triathlon - Andrew McKinnon.
I will be sending out letters about event next week.
If
anyone has someone up this way might be interested even though not a member of
the club let me know their address.

Tests and to compete in the Triathlon. The
Triathlon consists of: 1. Fast Retrieve 2. Simple Obedience 3.
Simple Agility and is open to Beardies from both the Breed and Working
registers. There is a trophy for
the winner and also for the best Breed-registered Beardie.
Those intending to go please contact Ailsa Gill beforehand (01651
882264) as the organizers need to know numbers for buying in the food (which
will probably be £3 a head, but may be a bit more). The food is “ticket
only” in advance.
ANNUAL GATHERING

Working Tests, games and competitions, presentation of Annual Trophies,
tea and sandwiches.
There will not be a Seminar run by our Branch. (we’re having a holiday
from Seminars this year!).
Also we regret to say that the Branch Open Agility show will no longer take place. This event has become a victim of its own success and problems with finding an adequate venue and sufficient manpower have become insuperable.

is a new initiative, being organised by committee members June MacKinnon and
Heather Smith, with the Branch providing official backing. More details will
be provided nearer the time.

The Annual Trophies will be
presented at about 3.15pm after which tea will be served. Tickets £1.50 adults,

will speak on vaccination – optimum time to vaccinate – mother’s immunity
– and the benefits of titre testing etc.

Sampson is the Canine Genetics Co-coordinator at the Kennel Club. The idea
behind the post is to develop and implement DNA technologies to aid breeders in
their efforts to produce healthy stock.

Mrs. Jo Tucker -
Jo Tucker set up and runs C.I.M.D.A. (Canine Immune Mediated Disease
Awareness). She will speak on living with dogs with an auto immune disease from
an owners perspective.
